Sunday Morning Education

From the beginning, the church has always gathered on Sunday morning, the day of Jesus’ resurrection.  On Sundays at Lutheran Church of Hope (LCH), we gather primarily for worship, as well as for fellowship and opportunities to grow in our faith.  Sunday Morning Educational opportunities are available throughout the traditional academic year (September through May), starting at 10:15 am.

For Pre-k (3 years old) through 5th Grade: We currently use the SPARK Sunday School Curriculum that allows young people to learn about the Bible stories told in worship that particular Sunday, at their age level.  Sunday School begins with fellowship and songs, kids then go to classrooms where they
continue to learn the story of the day through art, story time, crafts, and yes, even sometimes, food!

6th, 7th, and 8th Grades:  Using the FAITHINK curriculum, students in these grades study a bible story each week through discussion, drama, videos, experiential activities, and science.  Each year we alternate between focusing on the Old and New Testaments.

High School (9th-12th Grade):  High School Youth meet with a rotating team of adults every Sunday for discussion and reflection on faith and life.

Adults:  Not regularly scheduled every Sunday morning, from time to time there are discussions and multi-Sunday classes (similar to a seminar) centered around one topic or a range of topics.  Check the church calendar for the latest Sunday Morning adult education offerings.
