Minister of Faith Formation Beth Rogers

Beth brings a passion for faith formation sparked through participation in the Rocky Mountain Synod high school youth gatherings.  After close to 20 years as a stay at home mom, she began taking youth to the gatherings when her oldest son was in high school.  What she found was an amazing spirit filled experience that she wanted to share with other youth.

It didn’t take long to realize that working in youth ministry required more training than she received from her education at the University of California, Irvine, and she furthered her study at Wartburg Seminary receiving a certification in Youth and Family ministry in the summer of 2002.

Her goals for ministry at Lutheran Church of Hope are 1) to provide opportunities for all youth to understand how privileged we are living in this country, and to look for ways that we can be the hands and feet of Jesus in our world today, 2)to provide the tools and confidence for parents to nurture faith at home, and 3) to create a family atmosphere at church where young and old, and everyone in between, teach and learn from each other.

Beth is the mother of 3 adult children and was recently married to her husband, John, who she met in high school some 30 years ago in Southern California.
