FalL 2023 Update

We now live with the COVID-19 pandemic behind us, forever heightening the theological understanding and our calling to love and serve our neighbor in regards to public health and communal gatherings. We recognize that COVID-19 and its many variants (along with other viruses, diseases, and illnesses) will continue to be a part of our lives.

Upon receiving continued guidance from Broomfield’s Department of Public Health and Environment, LCHope is moving forward with the following guidelines:

  1. Self-Screening for Symptoms. Please keep your own household and your church family safe! Stay home if you or anyone in your household has any symptoms, runny nose, fever, cough, sore throat, loss of smell or taste, aches, even headaches. It is always okay to stay home if you or anyone in your household is not feeling 100%.

  2. Vaccinations. We continue to encourage everyone who is eligible to receive all their vaccinations, including boosters, when needed and appropriate. Click here for an easy chart of recommended vaccines for the Fall of 2023.

  3. Masks. Masks are not required at LCHope but welcomed for those who may be immunocompromised and/or cautious of their health.

  4. Air Quality and Facility Cleanliness. We continue to utilize up-to-date HVAC filtration and circulation systems throughout our indoor spaces. We will continue COVID protocol surface and facility cleaning before and after use.

  5. Online Worship Options. We will continue to offer and invest in digital worship, which represents roughly 35% of our weekly worship liturgy attendance.

These protocols are rooted in personal choice and individual responsibility, balancing concern for neighbor and self. We understand that there is still an elevated risk of infection from COVID-19, as well as the other respiratory and flu-like viruses. We encourage everyone to weigh their risks and choices accordingly. We also recognize the strong emotional reactions with which our society has wrestled. People will make a variety of choices and all are to be respected, even if it is not the choices we make.

We are grateful for our elected and staff leadership that continue to pray, discern, reflect and lead us through these times. As always, as our times change, so will our protocols based on our understanding and guidance from our many partners.
