LIFE WITHIN THE CHURCH
Ministries at LCHope are shared within four different tenets, or areas of focus: Worship and Music, Discipleship (Youth & Family and Adult Faith & Fellowship), Loving Support, and Reaching Out. From serving as a worship assistant on Sunday mornings to becoming a confirmation mentor to leading a Women, Wisdom and Wine session, there are a wide variety of activities to participate in, every day of the week. Our ministries continue to evolve and develop as we seek to be God's people in an ever-changing 21st-century world.
Interested in starting a new ministry? Anyone is welcome to start a new group or ministry that is within our mission statement. You can contact the church office to get started and we'll help you spread the word.
community SERVICE
LCHope is proud to collaborate with a number of charitable organizations in the Broomfield and greater-Denver area. Regular opportunities to help out include Feed the Homeless (twice-monthly preparing and serving meals), Habitat for Humanity construction, Step Denver dinner support, Lutheran Family Services donations and refugee support, and donations of food and clothing to A Precious Child and North Denver Cares Food Pantry. We also run annual drives, including Santa Sacks, Back-to-School Packs, and a Mitten Tree.
If you have an idea for community outreach, let us know! Contact the Reaching Out tenet leader or the church office today!
WORLDWIDE OPPORTUNITIES
LCHope encourages both youth and adults to engage in opportunities across the country and around the world. We have sent Habitat for Humanity build teams to Joplin, MO and the Gulf Coast, and youth groups have participated in Appalachia Service Project and visited Costa Rica. In the midst of crisis or disaster response, opportunities for financial partnerships are also available through the ELCA's World Hunger Fund and Lutheran Disaster Response. Lutheran World Federation provides opportunities to help out around the world, and the Young Adults in Global Mission program encourages young people to spend some time abroad volunteering.
